Shaman Drums
Shaman Drums suit school and community use, with sizes from 12–28in (30–70cm) and natural, round-hair or painted goatskin heads. Lightweight round or octagonal frames are easy to handle; many include a two-sided suede/plush beater for tone choice, supporting whole-class work in Early Years, Primary, Secondary and SEND across drum circles, assemblies and group therapy sessions.
Shaman Drums anchor our frame-drum range for schools, clubs and community groups. Choose natural finish, round-hair goatskin or painted heads with animal motifs, on round or octagonal hand-held frames. Popular classroom sizes include 16in (40cm) and 22in (55cm) for clear, resonant voices.
Many shamanic drum models include a two-sided beater — suede for warmer tone, plush for brighter articulation. Lightweight construction sets up fast for whole-class work across Early Years, Primary, Secondary and SEND, and suits drum circles and gatherings. For longevity, store flat, avoid damp and direct heat, and wipe the head with a dry cloth after sessions.
