The ‘Gamelan - Flute (suling) - 50cm, bamboo’ is a is an end-blown bamboo Flute which plays like a Recorder (though with an Asian scale) and makes a beautifully sweet sound.
Similar but bigger flutes often form part of the Indonesian Gamelan orchestra. This one is just 50cm (20 inches) long and costs next to nothing. The ‘Gamelan Suling Flute Bamboo’ comes in four sizes – 50cm, 35cm, 25cm, and 18cm – of which this is the largest.
