The 'Gamelan Suling Flute 35cm, bamboo' is a is an end-blown bamboo flute which plays like a Recorder (though with an Asian scale) and makes a beautifully sweet sound.
Similar but bigger flutes often form part of the Indonesian Gamelan orchestra. This one is just 35cm (14 inches) long and costs next to nothing. The 'Bamboo Gamelan Suling Flute' comes in four sizes – 50cm, 35cm, 25cm, and 18cm – of which this is the second largest.
