This 9 inch Pro Wide Top djembe drum, 35cm high has an 8 inch playing head diameter (±0.5”). The overall diameter is approximately 9 inches. Most other suppliers only quote the overall diameter, so what they describe as “8 inch djembes” often have smaller playing heads (around 7 inches).

A professional-quality djembe, the wide playing head diameter makes it easier to control and play. It’s light and compact, reducing storage requirements, and making it the perfect smaller-size drum for Foundation Stage and Primary age groups. The extra height (35cm) also helps with a better bass tone.

If it should get wet, let it dry slowly. Above all keep sharp points away from the drum skin, as this is the most fragile part.
