Thunder Drums are amazing instruments that produce fantastic, roaring, stormy thunder sounds. We have developed a new style Thunder Drum using bamboo for the resonator which makes a powerful deluge-level cacophony.
The ‘Thunder Drum - 4in diameter, 15cm high, bamboo’ is the larger of the two we have made and has a larger diameter resonator for a humongous sound. We have also made the spring part of the instrument shorter so that younger children can play it more easily. Great fun for all ages, but as with all musical instruments, some supervision is needed with the younger ones.
A fantastic addition to your musical instruments, the Thunder Drum is not only a surprising sound, but it is also fascinating working out how the sound is made for the first time. This is a great instrument for that one child who likes to explore things by themselves.
