Description
The 'Bodhran 18 inch Shamrock Design' - this 18" diameter bodhran from Percussion Plus is a handcrafted Irish drum. It has an attractive Shamrock ring design and a quality sound, and is ideal for folk jams, gigs in a variety of settings as well as teaching, learning and practice.
Traditionally
A bodhran is an Irish frame drum that has recently become very popular due to the resurgence of Irish traditional music.
The bodhran is traditionally played using a lathe-turned piece of wood called a bone or tipper (supplied), and can also be played using a modern brush stick, or the fingertips.
Quality construction and finish
A solid construction and well-built inner frame allows the player to confidently grip the drum to produce a clear and resonant tone. The natural skin is evenly stretched for a stable tone and long life.
What's in the box?
This handcrafted percussion plus Bodhran 18 inch Shamrock design drum comes supplied with its own traditional style tipper, a handy carry case, and an instructional DVD to get you started on your bodhran playing journey.
Please note: The PP1121 model was previously supplied with the Skellig design, which was discontinued in December 2020
