Description
Octopus Rosette Series
The octopus rosette soprano ukulele is a step-up model in the octopus ukulele family, aimed at intermediate players and the more serious beginner soprano ukulele who wants something beyond an entry-level uke. The Rosette series combines two distinctive laser-etched designs with a NuBone nut and saddle, aquila nylgut soprano ukulele strings and chrome die-cast tuners for a responsive, stable feel. Each instrument is supplied in a colourful box with a quality gig bag, ready for lessons, home practice or performance.
The range is endorsed by renowned teacher and performer Andy Eastwood, giving extra confidence to anyone choosing their next soprano ukulele upgrade.
The electro-acoustic
This electro acoustic soprano ukulele version of the Rosette includes a single-coil pickup with simple volume and tone controls. Plug a standard 6.35 mm jack into an amp, mixer or PA to get the extra projection needed for school concerts, open mics or outdoor events, while still being able to practise unplugged at home.
Soprano size and range
The Rosette uses the classic soprano ukulele scale – the most widely used size – at 21" (53 cm) with twelve frets and a range from C4 to A5. It will feel familiar if you’ve played other soprano ukuleles and works seamlessly with standard chord charts, songbooks and online tutorials.
Unique laser etched design
This model features “Kane the Octopus”, surrounded by marine life and an intricate wave pattern around the soundhole. The laser-etched artwork gives the octopus soprano ukulele a distinctive, professional look on stage or in class without compromising resonance.
Carefully selected materials & Build quality
The Rosette series is built to last, with laminated open-pore sapele for the top, back and sides, sustainably sourced and finished in a smooth satin sheen that supports good projection. Fully lined side walls add strength and help the sound carry in classrooms and small halls.
A tie-bar bridge is accurately bonded to the body for efficient sound transfer, and silver chrome die-cast tuners provide reliable tuning stability over longer sessions. Overall, it feels much closer to the best soprano ukulele options than its price suggests.
Graph Tech NuBone XB
The Graph Tech NuBone XB nut and saddle are designed to increase volume and enhance tone. Unlike softer plastics, NuBone doesn’t dampen the strings but transfers vibration cleanly into the body, which you can hear as extra clarity and sustain, especially when amplified.
Aquila Nylgut® strings
Each Rosette model comes with Aquila Nylgut® strings as standard, chosen for their smooth feel, accurate intonation and bright, singing sound. They work perfectly with typical soprano ukulele tuning, giving players a consistent response whether they’re strumming chords or picking melodies.
Free carry case
Every Octopus Rosette Electro-acoustic Soprano Ukulele is supplied with a padded gig bag featuring Octopus zip pulls and adjustable backpack straps. It makes transporting the instrument between home, rehearsals and performances easy while protecting it from everyday knocks and scratches.
Free online teaching resources
Andy Eastwood has created a series of free Rosette-focused lessons, covering basic skills, chord reading, rhythm and developing new techniques. These resources help players get more from their octopus ukulele in lessons or at home – just visit the Octopus Ukulele YouTube channel and look for the Rosette playlists.
