Little Hands Starter Basket - 5 Instruments

The Little Hands Starter Basket is a great value  starter pack for very young musicians. Three different Shakers, a Bamboo Drum and a delightful, tinkly wind chime, together with an Early Years size Music Bracelet and a copy of our brilliant ‘Activity Guide’ of musical games and ideas, all packed neatly into a beautiful bamboo storage basket.

The instruments are all made from natural, tactile materials, providing a range of touch and sound possibilities. The different instruments will stimulate a range of physical movements, helping to develop both fine and gross motor control, and by playing together, children will learn social, musical and general communication skills.

Please note that these are all real musical instruments (just like professional ones but in most cases scaled-down to suit smaller players), not toys, and so the younger children will need close supervision. Do let the children explore and play independently as well as together with each other, parents and/or practitioners, but do always keep an eye on things. The collection is intended for 3 year olds upwards.

It is our experience that both children and grown-ups get so much more out of music-making by playing together. Music-making is a powerful learning experience for grown-ups as well as children and learning and exploring together multiplies the benefits for everyone.
