Description
A top quality Gamelan hammer called a ‘gamel’ that is made from bamboo and hardwood. The hammer ends will soften slightly with playing and will gradually produce a slightly softer sound. You can speed up the process by distressing the playing end by playing against stone or something hard and a little bit rough.
The gamel is the beater used on a majority of Gamelan instruments. The budget gamel is also available.
