The Dream Drum is a pitched percussion instrument that is so easy and satisfying to play that it really is an instrument for everyone, from Early Years to getting on in Years and it is particularly brilliant in EY and SEN settings. It's also virtually indestructible and will give you musical and educational satisfaction year after year after year.

Children (and adults) can play it solo, they can play ‘four hands’ (or more), they can add simple percussion instruments, they can sing along, add melodic instruments, use as a soundscape background for story-telling, and much more. The Dream Drum is a truly versatile instrument and will help children to develop a wide range of sensory, physical, social and emotional skills as well as encouraging  creativity, communication and interaction and bolstering mental health. That's a big claim, and it's all tried, tested, and true.

Played solo the Dream Drum allows players to explore expressing a very wide range of emotions, and it's particularly effective at helping children to self-regulate and find their own calm. Played in pairs it's wonderful for developing non-verbal conversational skills, social skills (sharing and taking turns) and creativity.
