Description

This super value '15 Players Primary Economy Samba Class Pack' has everything you need to get your Primary (KS1/KS2) Samba drumming group off to a flying start at the lowest possible price.

The Pack includes 3 big, aluminium Surdo drums, a Repinique, a Caixa snare drum and 10 smaller instruments, giving you a wide range of authentic Samba sounds as well as making it easy to split the group into "Buddy" threes, each having one big and two smaller instruments. Although the drums have been selected to be suitable sizes for players from 6 to 11 years old they are all also perfectly fine for teenagers and adults.

The Economy kit is lightweight but tough and is made in Brazil by Izzo, specialists in Samba instrument making since 1960. Please note that the Surdos are the traditional double-ended style, which means that you cannot stack them one inside the other like the nesting Surdos in our other packs.

The '15 Players Primary Economy Samba Class Pack' also included are two teaching guides by World Music expert Andy Gleadhill; ‘Brazilian Samba’ and ‘Percussion Buddies’. The books are designed for non-specialists as well as music teachers and will take you from the basics through to your first performance in just 10 lessons, and there's plenty of repertoire for a year or more of playing, plus online audio and video support. The Percussion Buddies book will show you how to develop percussion accompaniments for almost any piece, whether drumming, choral, ukulele or any other ensemble.

There's also lots of FREE online support - see the "Documentation" section below for free PDF downloads of the Primary Scheme of Work or click here to see all the Brazilian Samba teaching resources, which also include a selection of useful videos.

Special storage/carry bags are available and will help to prolong the lives of the instruments, as well as making it safe and easy to move them around for events.

The 30 Player Samba Class Pack is also available for purchase.
