Product Information

Description

The Percussion Plus Classic Red Box soprano diatonic glockenspiel is a standard 13-note soprano glockenspiel in C. It comes with 3 extra notes — 2 x F# and 1 x Bb — so the C major scale can be adjusted to G major and F major. This makes it a practical school glockenspiel for early melody work and simple classroom playing.

The Percussion Plus Classic Red Box soprano diatonic glockenspiel has precision-moulded steel note bars, which give very accurate tuning. The solid wooden base is made from selected timber and gives the instrument a rounded resonance. That makes it a reliable choice for glockenspiels for schools where clear pitch and durable build both matter.

The Percussion Plus Classic Red Box soprano diatonic glockenspiel (PP001) has a range of C64–A85 and includes 3 extra notes (F#70, F#82 and Bb74).

If you need other options for your scheme of work, the Percussion Plus 17-note glockenspiel and the Percussion Plus Classic Red Box fully chromatic alto glockenspiel are also available separately. This gives schools a flexible range of glockenspiel options for different ages and lesson needs.
