25 note chromatic junior Glockenspiel – great for home or school
The Percussion Plus 25 note chromatic junior glockenspiel (PP920) is a robust, portable Percussion Plus junior glockenspiel that works equally well in the classroom and for the budding musician at home.
This 25 note chromatic glockenspiel has accurately tuned metal bars laid out like a piano keyboard, giving learners a clear visual link between keys and notes. Each bar is black or white with its pitch etched on the top, making it easier for younger players to find and remember notes. The range runs from G59 to G83 (starting on the G above middle C), giving plenty of space for melodies, scales and simple harmony work.
What is a glockenspiel instrument?
A glockenspiel instrument is a tuned percussion instrument with metal bars arranged like a keyboard and played with beaters to produce a bright, high-pitched, bell-like sound. It sits higher in pitch than a xylophone, which uses wooden bars, and is common in KS1–KS3 music lessons, bands and orchestras. This model bridges the gap between toy instruments and full orchestral glockenspiels for schools, making it an ideal classroom glockenspiel or glockenspiel for kids at home.
Great quality and classroom value
The sound of this 25 note glockenspiel is bright and clear, with reliable tuning that supports ensemble work and listening tasks. Folding legs on the underside of the case lift the glockenspiel instrument off the table, improving resonance and projection in whole-class sessions. Built to withstand everyday handling, it offers excellent value on its own, and our quantity discounts make building sets of glockenspiels for schools very cost-effective.
Complete with everything you need
The strong red plastic carry case keeps this chromatic glockenspiel protected in storage and transport and is light enough for pupils or peripatetic staff to move between rooms. The instrument is supplied with a pair of durable, one-piece beaters so it’s genuinely ready to play straight from the box.
For smaller hands or mixed-ability groups, the matching Percussion Plus 17 note model (PP930) is also available and pairs neatly with this 25 note chromatic glockenspiel in classroom sets.

Similarly, if an instrument develops a fault within 12 months of purchase in the course of normal use (though excluding fair wear and tear), please let us know, and we’ll replace it or refund the cost. It’s also very helpful for us to see photos of the issue as this gives us solid information for changing the design, the production method or the packing materials.
