Description

Please Note: This 'deep carved djembe drum 9 inch', has a 8” playing head diameter (=/- 0.5”). The overall diameter of the djembe is approx 9”. Most other suppliers only quote the overall diameter, and so what they describe as '8” djembes' have 7” playing heads.

The 9 inch Deep Carved wooden djembe is a top-quality drum, crafted for long-term use in schools, clubs, and drumming circles. Standing at 40cm high, it’s designed for two-handed playing by children and adults.

Each 9 inch Deep Carved djembe is carefully handcrafted from a single piece of mahogany, ensuring a long-lasting drum with a rich, mellow tone. It features a goatskin head and pre-stretched nylon stringing, providing excellent tuning stability.

The drum comes equipped with a rubber base that protects both the drum and the floor, and the smooth finish inside and out ensures there are no splinters or rough edges for safe handling.

Perfect for classrooms and drumming circles, this 9 inch Deep Carved djembe has 1cm deep carvings, each uniquely handcrafted, inspired by African imagery.

For easy transport and protection, rucksack-style carry bags, harnesses, and belts are available separately. These accessories are designed to protect the djembe from wear and tear during transit.

Eco-note: The mahogany used in this drum is sustainably sourced, making this an environmentally conscious choice.

Taking care: Store your 9 inch Deep Carved djembe in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight or heat sources. If it gets wet, let it dry slowly. Avoid sharp objects near the goatskin head to preserve its quality.

Guarantee: The djembe shell is covered by a 10-year guarantee, and the drum skin is guaranteed for 5 years, provided the care instructions are followed. The storage/carry bags are covered by a 2-year guarantee. Please ensure you follow the "Taking Care" instructions to maintain your guarantees.
