Ball Shaker – 5cm, Early Years – pack of 5 shakers

These ‘Ball Shaker – 5cm, Early Years – bag of 5 shakers’ are rather like our various Egg Shakers, except that they are spherical. When played in pairs they also make a wonderful knocking sound. They are suitable for anyone to play. The designs on the Ball Shaker were created by Primary school children in Bali where our instruments are made.

These shakers can help with all aspects of EY development, including:

Sensory and/or physical need
– Roll across a circle or from person to person.
– Roll them singly; roll two at a time, roll a whole bunch of them across the circle at the same time to enjoy the fun of  ‘missing’ the other rolling jingle balls.
– Superb for hand-eye co-ordination

Social, emotional and mental health
Lots of socializing activities can be enjoyed with jingle balls rolling games.

Communication and interaction
If used as part of a ‘skittles’ type game, students can encourage each other to do well and celebrate each time someone aims and succeeds at rolling the jingle ball onto the drum head, for example.

Cognition and learning

Understanding how to aim. Learning about weight and distance.
