About Guiros

Guiros are percussion instruments made of bamboo or other materials. They have ridges that create a scraping sound. Popular in Latin American and Caribbean music, they come in different sizes. Great for classrooms and beginner musicians.

Classic guiros or guiro shakers are percussion instruments known for their scraping sound. Made of bamboo, they come in small and large sizes. Perfect for early years and primary percussion.

The small bamboo guiro is easy to handle, while the large one offers a deeper tone for group performances. Both come with a wooden scraper for the signature sound.

These are key in world percussion and help develop rhythm skills. They are a fun addition to any drum circle or school percussion kit.
