World Music Teaching Guides
Written for Music Teachers and non-specialist Teachers alike

Down to earth, tried and tested guides for Teachers in group and whole class settings. The guides cover African Drumming, Brazilian Samba, Caribbean Jumbie Jam Steel Pans, Japanese Taiko Drums, Indonesian Gamelan, Class Percussion,  and Composing with World Music. They are suitable for both Music Teachers and for non-specialists alike, and no prior experience is assumed - not even the ability to read music.

The guides include advice on basic playing techniques as well as warm-up exercises, lesson plans and repertoire. There are also very useful supporting CDs, DVDs or online video resources that work in conjunction with the books.

These teaching guides are so good and so practical that ANY enthusiastic teacher will be able to lead a class or after school group from basics through to their first performance in just a term's worth of lessons.
