Andy Gleadhill introduces the basics of Indonesian gamelan. He demonstrates the scale, the metallophone instruments (saron, peking, demung) and their pitches and goes on to describe the cyclic nature of the music and the technique for damping keys. Andy also demonstrates the gongs and briefly describes the contents of his Gamelan Teacher’s Guide.
