DJEMBES FOR THE EARLY YEARS
Djembes are classic, hour-glass shaped west African drums and they come in wide range of sizes. The smaller ones can be played with the finger tips or with small beaters (one supplied with each small djembe) and in Early Years settings the bigger ones (see the DRUMS subsection of our main INSTRUMENTS & ACCESSORIES section above) are usually best played on their sides with the player astride. Older children and grown-ups can play the djembe sitting on a stool or chair with the drum resting between the knees.
Please note that our products are musical instruments, not toys, and should always be used under the supervision of responsible educationalists and carers and not left with children under 3 years of age to play with by themselves.
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE HAVE TEMPORARILY RE-SET ALL AGE SUITABILITIES FOR EARY YEARS MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS AND KITS TO 3+ YEARS WHILE WE COMPLETE A COMPREHENSIVE SAFETY REVIEW.
